Associate Professor George Chalkiadis
A/Prof George Chalkiadis is a Pain Medicine Physician and Senior Staff Anaesthetist at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Associate Professor in the Department of Paediatrics, University of Melbourne and an affiliate with the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI). He is a Past President of the Society of Paediatric Anaesthesia in New Zealand and Australia (SPANZA).
He established the multidisciplinary chronic pain clinic at the Royal Children’s Hospital and has headed the acute pain service since his appointment in 1997. He was jointly responsible for the establishment of the Special Interest Group in Paediatric Pain in the Australian Pain Society. A/Prof Chalkiadis is an Associate Editor for Pediatric Anesthesia. He has published numerous articles in peer reviewed journals, several book chapters and is a regular reviewer for multiple journals. |
