Environmental Considerations

ISPP 2022 is committed to reducing our impact on the environment.  To this end we have engaged the following protocols :

Offsetting your Carbon Footprint
Take the opportunity to offset your carbon footprint and fly with Air New Zealand.  FlyNeutral supports New Zealand travellers to offset the carbon emissions associated with their Air New Zealand flights. See here for more information about FlyNeutral.

Recycling & Conservation
Cordis, Auckland has participated in the globally recognised EarthCheck programme for 12 consecutive years.  They have been recognised with an EarthCheck Platinum Certification, a TripAdvisor GreenLeader (Silver) award, and a NZ Qualmark EnviroGold rating. Each year, they confirm their green commitment by joining the global community in Earth Hour, turning off all non-essential lights to shine the light on climate change. See here for more information about how Cordis, Auckland endorses sustainable practices for the good of the environment.

Catering
We are working with The Cordis Hotel to minimise food waste plus we will be offering a great variety of delicious meals for our lunches throughout the conference, along with a good number of vegetarian options.  Please ensure you bring along a refillable water bottle!

Delegate Handouts
Your name badge will be printed onto recyclable card and the carry bags will be environmentally friendly.

Printed Material
We will endeavour to minimize printing in general and will distribute as much information electronically as possible. Your Conference Handbook will be available as a digital PDF, plus available on the Conference Mobile App. Printed copies are available on request during the registration process.

Sponsors and Exhibitors
We are working with our supporters to ensure the environmental message is passed along. Sponsors and exhibitors have been asked to ensure they reduce their waste and environmental impact by providing appropriate information about themselves and their services in electronic format rather than printed material.
